• 6:45 – Arrive at FHS & unload equipment

Stage Set-Ups

On stage, equipment provided will be drum set, piano, vibes, congas, guitar amp, bass amp, extension cord/power strip, stands, chairs, risers, 5 sax/ww mics, vibes mic, piano mic, and 2 solo mics.

Admission

All participants will have hands stamped for free admission, plus directors and two adults per band.  All daytime performances are free and open to the public.

Concessions

Concessions for students and parents will be available throughout the day.  A full dinner menu will be available before the evening concert.

Evening Concert

After the last band performs, the auditorium will be cleared and people may re-enter with tickets.  Tickets will be given to band students on Saturday.  Students may return Saturday night at their convenience.  Tickets for the public are $6.  The concert is from 7-9:15 and will feature the University of Indianapolis Jazz ensemble, Honor Jazz Band, and Directors’ Jazz Orchestra with guest artist Stockton Helbing (Drum Set).

REMEMBER…

• Have EVERYTHING you need to make your instrument work properly
• Help load, unload, & carry equipment because we need ALL of it.
• Be on time (When you’re late…the entire band is late)
• Bring some money for lunch
• DO NOT GO OFF BY YOURSELF #heyjazzbandkidstaytogether
• Behave appropriately on the bus
• Dress for the weather

This will be a great day!  Have fun, stay together, and learn some stuff
