This is an exciting time of year for the band as we continue receiving positive reviews at competitions. Please plan to support the band and come down to watch the performance this Saturday.
Some Tips for ISSMA State Finals:
- Arrive early, Lucas Oil Stadium fills up fast. They do NOT open the top level, so all seating is in the lower sections. It fills up VERY fast. So, if you want a seat in the middle, you should plan to arrive by 6 PM
- It will be a late night for sure, with awards not concluding until about 11 PM.
- Check with your section parent to find out if they need any more help in providing dinner for the band.
- Wear your spirit wear!
- Cheer even louder at Lucas Oil, it’s a big place. The kids really like hearing us in the stands as they come onto the field.
Picking up tickets at FHS
ISSMA State Finals tickets were obtained at the Director’s meeting. A block of 500 ($20) parent tickets and 100 ($18)
student tickets are available for purchase. Please bring cash or make check payable to FHS BAND BOOSTERS. They are available for purchase (first come, first served) at the following times below:
- Tuesday – After rehearsal 5:45-6:20pm – inside DOOR FH9
- Wednesday – After rehearsal 5:45-6:20pm – inside DOOR FH9
- Thursday – During rehearsal 6-9pm – inside DOOR FH9
- Friday – Before football game – inside DOOR FH9
NOTE: You will be able to buy tickets onsite at the Lucas Oil ticket window. So, if you don’t get any at FHS, there are plenty available onsite (and the prices are the same).

Ticket Sales
If you did not purchase tickets through your school, you will need to get your tickets at the Lucas Oil Stadium ticket windows located at the Northeast corner, or Southeast corner of the stadium close to Capitol Avenue. The windows are on street level across from the Post Office. No tickets are sold at the entrances. ENTRY INTO THE STADIUM WILL BE THROUGH THE NORTH AND WEST ENTRANCE ONLY. Spectators who leave the stadium must receive a hand stamp if they plan to return to the stadium later in the day. Hand Stamps will be available from LOS personnel at the NORTH and WEST ENTRANCES. (Official ISSMA-issued Director Passes or Personnel Passes do not require a hand stamp for re-entry.) Admission will be $20.00 for adults and $18.00 for students and preschoolers. Babies under two years of age, carried in arms and not occupying a seat, will be admitted free.
Stadium Seating
Gates will open at 9:00 am. Scholastic Champion Exhibition performances will begin at 9:25 am. There are no reserved seats for this event. PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK LARGE SECTIONS OF SEATS FOR YOUR SCHOOL. ALL FANS SHOULD HAVE A FAIR CHANCE TO FIND THE SEAT OF THEIR CHOICE. COATS, AND OTHER PERSONAL ITEMS, LEFT IN SEATS FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME WILL BE CONFISCATED BY SECURITY. It is extremely important to plan and arrive early. ACCESS TO SEATING AREAS WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE LAST TWO BANDS OF EACH CLASS, UNTIL AFTER AWARDS. If you leave your seat during this time, you will NOT be re-admitted until after the awards for that class.
Handicapped Entrances
All entrances are ADA accessible. Those utilizing the Stadium Handicapped parking lot south of the facility will be allowed entrance through the South Gate, but it is not a General Admission gate. Handicapped drop-off and pickup is available on the northeast and southwest corners of the facility. Handicap accessible seating is available from the Street Level behind Sections 146, 143, 142, 138, 137 and 135.
Monumental Marathon
Due to the running of the annual “Monumental Marathon”, many streets in the downtown area east and north of Lucas Oil Stadium will be closed until early afternoon. It is recommended that those arriving early in the day should approach the stadium from the west or south for easiest access.
Parking
Public parking is available throughout the downtown area – all lots within easy walking distance to the stadium. There will be some parking available in the Lucas Oil Stadium Parking Lot via Gate 6 on Capitol Avenue. There is also a parking garage available off West Street and south of South Street.
Programs
Official full-color souvenir programs will be on sale throughout the stadium. Price: $5.00 each.
Official ISSMA T-Shirts
Souvenir T-Shirts will be on sale in the North and West Concourse area. The price is $20.00.
Concessions
Many types of food and soft drinks are sold in the stadium. You will also find many eateries throughout the downtown area. Your ticket is good for all day, so you may leave the stadium and return for re-admittance if you have your hand stamped prior to leaving the stadium. No food or drink may be carried into the stadium.
Video & Photography
Due to copyright laws, absolutely no video recording of today’s performances is permitted without prior documentation of synchronization rights having been presented to ISSMA, Inc. Photography at any ISSMA event may be used solely for local media and personal usage. Any sales or distribution of photos or videos from an ISSMA event distributed in a means other than from ISSMA official vendors is strictly prohibited. Admittance to the field is is restricted to ISSMA certified photographers and event personnel.
